Presentation of the Department of distance Education
The department of distance education of the CRSIC was born in 2007 with the launch of the national e-learning, initiated by the Ministry of Higher Education and Scientific Research.
This national program has allowed the universities, academic centres, schools, higher, higher institutes and research centres to develop multimedia equipment and set up a video conferencing system. Nearly sixty academic institutions have benefited from these facilities. Ten of them are transmitters, receivers and the rest of the institutions are only receivers of the signal.
Institutions can, in the future, extend and upgrade the system according to their ambitions, activities and resources.
What is a platform with E-Learning ?
A platform for open and distance learning is a software that assists the conduct of open and distance learning. This type of software includes the tools necessary for three main user – instructor, learner, administrator – a device that has the primary purpose of the consultation at a distance of instructional content, the individualization of the learning and tele-mentoring.
The E-Learning Platform of The UMBB
In order to improve the teaching methods and presenting the course in new forms, the department tele-education attached to the Center of the Networks and Systems of Information and Communication offers the friendly teachers and students of the university m'hamed Bougara of Boumerdes two methods :
- Or via distance learning.
- Either by e-learning via a platform with appropriate and simplified.

II. Videoconferencing
The CRSIC, has a videoconference room, and a classroom. To this end, we have the honour to bring to your provisions dear vices vice-Chancellors, dear deans, dear principals, dear teachers, dear students, a service that allows you to :
- To hold your meetings at a distance (between national and international universities, or between heads of laboratories, researchers,..)
- Strengthen your management team especially for the courses of PG skills national (or even international) providing classes via video conferencing.
- To provide training for your students.
- To propose usage according to your needs.
